"…emerges from a site in the Green Valley district of the Russian River Valley, where the cooler micro-climate yields Pinot of real energy. Sweet black cherry, plum, mint, graphite, spice and licorice imbue the 2018 with a distinctly brooding feel. I would give the Widdoes a few years in the bottle to fully come together, as the Martini clone aromatics are not quite as expressive today as they typically are."

The nose is cola, tobacco and red cherry accented with graphite and herb. The palate is plentiful, ripe and textured plum and licorice-like spice with silky mouth-coating tart berries on the finish. Higher acidity suggests a good run for this. Drink 2021 - 2030
