Bellerophon derives its name from Greek mythology and known as the “monster slayer” and the monster he slayed….was Chimera. Ok, I love mythic legend. This is only my second ever vintage of Bellerophon which is barrel fermented and aged almost a year longer than my other Pinot Noir wines. My inspiration for creating this wine was to create an intense Russian River blend without sacrificing Russian River elegance. The result is a visually imposing dark ruby core with signature earthy yet fragrant aromas of forest floor so well known for this appellation.   Ripe, dark red fruit, black tea and cola wrapped in plush tannins.
